Education & Therapy
Story Dogs
Story Dog is a fantastic national companion-reading charity operating across the Sunshine Coast to help primary school children improve their literacy and confidence. By pairing young students who are struggling or hesitant with calm, accredited dogs, the program creates a safe, judgment-free space where reading transforms into a fun and relaxing activity.
Conservation
Australasian Conservation Dog Network
The Australasian Conservation Dog Network (ACDN) is the primary collaborative hub for professionals using detection dogs in Australia. It connects researchers, handlers, and conservationists to promote the ethical, evidence-based use of scent-detection dogs for wildlife tracking, invasive species control, and ecological research.
Law Enforcement
Ninja's Trust
Ninja's Trust is an Australian non-profit charity dedicated to supporting the health, welfare, and dignity of retired police dogs. The organization is named in honor of Ninja, a brave Australian Federal Police (AFP) dog who passed away after serving the community for 7 years.
Assistance
Canine Refined Assistance Dog Training
Canine Refined is a Brisbane-based assistance dog training service dedicated to helping handlers train Guide, Hearing And Assistance dogs. Led by Lauren Toone, a certified trainer and former disability support worker, the organization focuses on helping teams satisfy the needs of those who need help.
